Sunny gorgeous day at Shilshole and Golden Gardens with Lady Luck
Wow, the first warm(ish) day of the year and in several months. Almost 60 degrees today, not bad! Lady Luck and I had a marvelous time walking in our fave
spot, Golden Gardens and Shilshole Marina. Lady makes friends wherever she goes; today she met a cute baby and made her smile, and a couple who came right up
and the guy asked if she was an English Shepherd (never heard of that) and Lady did some "tricks" for them and they just loved her. She did really well around the many
dogs there, as I had my clicker and treat combo going, and we practiced BAT as usual

Pet Insurance
Pet insurance is a MUST these days. Vets are expensive and so are their services. Some people don't take their pets to the vet enough due to prohibitive costs. Pet insurance DOES incur a monthly cost but it's worth it. I have saved literally thousands of dollars! I've had pet insurance for about 20 years or so. Here is a great site for you to check out that will help you decide which insurance is best for you
Back when pet insurance first started, there were not very many to choose from and they were confusing to understand (some still are, it's the nature of insurance, it seems!). I had VPI for many years, when it was the best one to be had and one of the few around. I switched to Pet's Best a few years ago, and they have excellent customer service--yes, you can indeed talk to a real person and they will call you back if you like, or not call you at all if you don't want them to. You can email them questions and they get back to you quickly. They have covered my very old dog (who passed in May of last year) and I put my younger dog on them a few months ago. There are several other good ones out there, as I found in my days of research. The other two I would recommend are Pet Plan, and Trupanion. Do your own research, of course, but please DO get pet insurance! You'll be glad you did, if not now, then later, as your pets age.
I'm back!
